GIVING BACK
Inspired by a community led, needs based approach, we research and explore resources, products, services and markets with creatives, craftspeople and service providers in the local community.
We also provide food systems support by offering compost and composting workshops to local food growers
HOW WE ARE
MAKING AN IMPACT
- CONNECTION TO NATURE
- FOOD SECURITY
- JOB CREATION
- CARBON SEQUESTRATION
- ECO EDUCATION
- CREATIVITY
- COMMUNITY COHESION
- INSPIRATION
- CIRCULARITY
We do weekly collections for all our members, exchanging kitchen scraps for the compost they helped to create. Through our various projects, we aim to create a platform for food security, environmental education and entrepreneurial development.
The members become the first-hand receivers of TCC projects, and as TCC grows, the flow of exchange between communities gets stronger and more circular.
Our supplementary ingredients for our compost comes from local animal farms and sanctuaries – perfect opportunities for community collaborations. We also collaborate with local schools & run informative workshops!
Other aspects of our community involvement initiative involves street Recycling Stations that provide a 4 bin system on every street, food growers support, community kitchen support, teacher support and job creation.
